Sydney: An Australian member of Parliament Larissa Waters breastfed her two-month-old daughter in the House. She became the first MP to benefit from the new family friendly rules came into place in February 2016 for Australian MPs.

Before the news rules came into place, children were barred from entering the chambers.

So the MPs, who are breastfeeding mothers, used to miss out important Parliamentary duties and sometimes they had to delegate their voting power to other members to vote in their absence.

Kids needed to be fed; Mothers need to work
