Woman robbed, murdered

A woman was robbed and strangled to death  by unidentified persons at the temple town of Kanipakam in Chittoor district, police said on Thursday.

According to police, the killers tied the watchman with rope before entering the home. After killing the woman, they decamped with two gold chains and two rings she was wearing.

Police suspect that some known persons had resorted to the crime as she was killed for not to reveal their names. Kanipakam police have registered a case and launched a manhunt.
