Hyderabad: 24-year-old Rachana Alluri stands as an inspiration for many women who want to give equal priority to personal and professional aspirations. She took the DEd exam on the same day of her wedding, by delaying the muhurtam by few hours.
She says that she is happy that her in-laws and her then fiance supported her by changing the muhurtam time by few hours so that she can write her exam
Rachana said that her wedding muhurtam was set six months back and believed that her exams would be held on October. But to her shock, the exam date and wedding coincided. Her wedding muhurtam was at 11.02 am and exam was from 9 am to 12 pm.
She says that she is happy that her in-laws and her then fiance supported her by changing the muhurtam time by few hours so that she can write her exam.
On the D Day on November 25, dressed in her wedding finery, she took the exam. After finishing the exam, she rushed to the wedding venue.
The young bride hails from Adilabad district was pursuing Diploma in Education (DEd) course, so that she can become teacher one day.
