Woman Gives Birth To Quadruplets

Khammam: A woman in Tirumalayapalem gave birth to quadruplets in the district on Thursday. The woman, identified as Shameena, gave birth to three baby boys and one girl child in a single delivery at Zoya hospital. The doctors said that the mother and the four infants were doing fine.

It may be recalled that a woman, identified as Vani, from adjacent Mahaabubabad district in the state had given birth to triplets in the same hospital in December last year. Vani had undergone Caesarean section.

Bhanumathi, from Virudhnagar district in Tamil Nadu gave birth to quadruplets in the month of April this year. Earlier this year in Feburary, a woman from Dhanbad district in Jharkhand state, gave birth to quadruplets.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, American Nadya Suleman gave birth to eight kids in a single delivery in 2009.
