Woman Dies Suffers Massive Cardiac Arrest, Dies In Flight

A Chennai-bound passenger died during her travel back from Singapore in an Air India plane. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday.

Rahmat Ghani, a 70-year-old woman, was returning after a trip to Singapore in an Air India flight. After the plane touched down at Chennai, her relatives tried to wake her up. They found that the woman slumped in her seat. Immediately, they alerted the flight crew, who requisitioned the services of an emergency medical team. The doctors who examined her found her dead. They said she had suffered a massive cardiac stroke in the flight.

Sources said that Rahmat Ghani is a native of Tirumangalam near Nagapattinam. The authorities have sent the body for post-mortem.
