Will Suriya’s Gang Beat Vijay’s Mersal Box Office Records?

Tamil actors Vijay and Suriya are well known to the Telugu audience. While Suriya became a household name after the Singham franchise, Vijay's Snehithudu made him popular here.

Last year saw the release of Vijay's career best hit Mersal which was released as Adirindi in Telugu.

Suriya's Gang is the second big film releasing this year. It is a Telugu remake of the Tamil film Thaanaa Serndha Koottam.

Now, the actor's fans are hoping that Suriya's Gang to break the box office records set by Mersal. If it does, then Gang will become the biggest opener in Suriya's career.

Gang is a remake of Bollywood film Special 26. The film is directed by Vignesh Shivan who has made a few changes to the script to make it palatable for the South Indian audiences. The teaser and trailer of Gang have doubled the audience expectations who are eagerly waiting for its theatrical release. Pawan's Agnyaathavaasi heroine Keerthy Suresh will be seen playing he female lead in the film alongside Suriya for the first time.
