Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas on Wednesday clarified that he would not join the ruling TDP.

In the wake of speculation that he may join the ruling party, the Minister spoke to reporters here in the city to clarify his stand. He said that he would continue to work for the BJP.

He refuted rumours that have been doing the rounds for the past few weeks. Kamineni admitted that he has the support of Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, who was a senior BJP leader before assuming charge as vice president.

As part of the poll-alliance, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu had to give a ministerial berth to Kamineni after the party came to power in 2014. Meanwhile, several BJP leaders have expressed dissatisfaction over the working style of Kamineni Srinivas, for ignoring the welfare of BJP in the state.
