Will Firangi Change Comedy Star Kapil Sharma’s Fortunes?

The Kapil Sharma-Ishita Dutta starrer, Firangi,will hit theatres on November 24, and might well change the fortunes of the comedy star.

Ishita Dutta lends a rustic touch to the the film as a dusky village belle from Punjab, as seen in the song "Oye Firangi" from the film. Sharma plays a servile guard/orderly--very typical of the times. It is worth recalling that the film is set in 1920.

Firangi is being produced under the banner of K9 Films. Directed by Rajiev Dhingra, the film's cast includes Monica Gill, Edward Sonnenblick, Anjan Srivastava, Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra and others. The crew spent many weeks shooting large sections of the film in Punjab and Rajastan.
