Guntur: Jana Sena party Founder and President Pawan Kalyan said that if need be he would not shy away from fasting until death to achieve Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at a public meeting held as part of the fourth formation day of the party, he criticised the functioning of TDP government and accused of it being highly corrupt.
Pawan Kalyan said that the fight for equal justice to all castes will continue. He pointed out that no caste was above others, "all the castes are equal and Jana Sena will try to bring equality in the state." The Jana Sena chief said that the CM's son (Lokesh) was allegedly involved in Shekar Reddy IT case, but the facts were being hidden.
He went on to say that though Chandrababu name was involved in Note-for-Vote case, he supported TDP during that time just because of the senior leaders in the TDP. He questioned the sand mafia and red sanders mafia that was existing in the state with the indirect help of the ruling government. "If TDP was against these, why don't they develop machinery to stop these mafia activities?"
The actor-turned-politician accused that TDP leaders were looting the state after its bifurcation. He pointed out that land grabbing was happening in Visakhapatnam at large scale and warned that Jana Sena party, its soldiers and people will revolt against the misrule of TDP. He promised to bring about a sea change in AP politics and usher a new era.
He said that their party's intentions and plans would be spelled out clearly with their manifesto which would be released on August 14. The manifesto would demand for including fishermen into ST category, he told and added that Kapu reservation bill passed in the assembly was a gimmick. "It went to the President for approval and has been put into cold storage thereafter."
Pawan Kalyan observed that financial security and job security were the need of the hour, if that was provided to people they would be living happily.
