'Why no martyrs memorial in Telangana logo?'

The BJP on Saturday took strong objection to the new logo of the Telangana government and said that it did not have the image of the T martyrs memorial.

“It is very pathetic that the symbol of Telangana martyrs memorial could not get a place in the official logo of Telangana government,” said Achari, General Secretary of State BJP.

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad on Saturday, he reminded that several persons had laid down their lives for the cause of Telangana, but the KCR government chose to ignore them.

“Telangana Martyrs Memorial was built to commemorate these martyrs. But, the same memorial was neglected while preparing the logo of the state government,” blasted Achari.

He declared that Telangana Formation Day celebrations would commence from the midnight of June 1.

“Flags hoisting will be done in all mandal and district headquarters in Telangana on June 2,” said Achari.

He said that BJP rallies and meetings would take place as part of the Formation Day celebrations.
