Why was Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki keeping away from Telangana MPs? It is anybody’s guess why he's doing it deliberately of late.

The buzz doing the rounds is that he got feelers from the party High Command on the separate statehood for Telangana.

The unexpected change in the attitude of MP was clearly evident on Thursday. Yashki was seen nowhere during the protest by Congress MPs at the Parliament house demanding a separate Telangana state. His absence raised many eyebrows in the Parliament. The political circles in Telangana found a sea-change in his behavior when all the seven MPs tendered their resignations for the cause of Telangana on January 30 to party president Sonia Gandhi.

He too admitted that all the resignations, including his were handed over to the AICC president. But he changed his mind the very next day and hesitated to resign. However, the MPs said in unison that they were all united and there was no deviation in the decision to put down their papers before Sonia Gandhi. Yashki also skipped the meeting of 'T' MPs held in Hyderabad the next day of January 31.

The Nizamabad MP turned against his colleagues asking what was the need to resign when the party High Command was willing to grant statehood to Telangana. The Telangana MPs on Thursday raised slogans demanding Telangana in the Parliament. Though Yashki was in the Parliament, he did not join with the MPs. The protesting MPs say that there was no pressure from anybody. Replying to a question, they said there was no comparison between Telangana and Ghurkha land.
