Telangana ministers, particularly Jana Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy, and his henchmen along with the police, who prevented YSR Congress party honorary president Y S Vijayamma from touring in flood-hit areas of Khammam and Nalgonda districts and got her arrested, rolled out red carpet for TDP president Chandrababu Naidu on Friday. So, the question the common minds was that why was Chandrababu not arrested in Telangana?
Jana Reddy was ready with his answer: Chandrababu is absolutely in favour of separate Telangana.
“Chandrababu Naidu gave his consent to separate Telangana. He wrote a letter to the Centre in that regard. That’s why his tour is not obstructed,” he said.
While endorsing Chandrababu’s consent on Telangana, Jana Reddy, on the other hand, averred that he will not be spared from facing the wrath of Telangana people, if he withdraws the letter.
The talk in the political circles is that Chandrababu's two-eye theory on Telangana issue saved him. Since Chandrababu donned fence-sitter role on the Telangana issue, the protesters at Damacherla showed black flags to him, while raising ‘Jai Telangana’ slogans.
