'Why didn't they object then?'

“Telangana people’s representatives can go to court if they think that Governor is usurping the rights of Telangana state,” advised Union Minister for Civil Aviation P.Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

Speaking to reporters in New Delhi on Friday, he said that the Central Government was just implementing the clauses in A.P.Reorganisation Act – 2014.

“Why did TRS MPs keep silent during the time of passing of the bill in Parliament?” asked Raju.
The minister said that governor was given the powers as Hyderabad was the common capital for both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Raju opined that the year 1956 can’t be the basis for deciding the locality of the people in Telangana. “Any person will be a local in a region in which they were born,” said the minister.

“We can’t run commercial operations at Begumpet airport. If we did so, no investor will come to Telangana to invest there. We will develop Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Vijayawada airports as international airports,” said the minister.
