For many of our Tollywood stars 2017 was a rocking year in terms of hit movies or performances. As the year becomes a part of history let's look at some facts:

Some movies sent box office charts climbing through the roof, but then Pawan's Katamarayudu and Mahesh Babu's Spyder didn't perform all that well. Who's “The Best Telugu Actor of 2017”? Now that's a tough one. Let's take a deep breath and checkout the standout performance of the year in the category of male actors.

Prabhas-Baahubali: Baahubali has touched epic heights in terms of popularity, appeal and success. Its worldwide success has taken the film industry by storm. Prabhas' performance in the movie will be talked about for a long time to come.

Pawan-Katamarayudu: Though the film has tanked at the box office it received a thumbs up from the public, which is a sort of psychological consolation prize for any star. The Power Star was seen in a different role here in a sort of a screen make-over. To that extent it was different from other commercial films.

Chiranjeevi-Khaidi No.150: A comeback film of Chiru's after a decade, it went to become a blockbuster hit at the box office. The mega star delivered truly phenomenal performance.

Mahesh Babu-Spyder: Mahesh has a strong character in the film - he played the role of an intelligence officer , but again didn't send the box office counters racing.

Jr NTR-Jai Lava Kusa: This film had a successful run with NTR Jr. in triple roles.

Nani-MCA: This year-ender rocked it for Nani.
