Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday took a serious note of the encroachment of the Maheswaram tank in Ranga Reddy district. Dealing with a petition filed by E. Anjaiah Goud, the acting chief justice Ramesh Ranganathan and justice A. Shankar Narayana wondered where the lakes in city are going.

The bench directed the state in July to fix FTL for all tanks in Telangana by December 30. However, revenue department counsel CV Bhaskar Reddy sought more time to complete the task.
