Warangal Youth Held For Uploading Woman Constable’s Phone Number On Porn Site

Hyderabad: A 24-year-old youth from Warangal was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly sending abusive messages and uploading the phone number of a women constable, of the SHE Team, in order to seek revenge.

The youth, identified as Biram Nikhil Kumar, bore a grudge against woman constable as she called him to the police station in connection with a complaint on similar grounds against him last year. A girl student from Prathiba Degree College from the city approached Ibrahimpatnam SHE Team with the complaint that she had received abusive messages from Nikhil. The woman constable counseled him and sent him away.

But Nikhil began sending abusive messages and had even uploaded the phone number of the constable on porn sites. The woman constable lodged a complaint against him on January 23.

"After months of tracking his phone number ,we traced him from his hideout. He procured a SIM card using fake documents. It was also found that he has been harassing several girls in the same manner," the police said.

A case under sections 54(D), 419, 420, 471, 186 of the IPC and 66(c) of the IT Act has been registered.
