Warangal: TRS activists hurl stones at CM convoy

Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy was greeted by protests on Friday evening at Warangal, where he was to inaugurate the Kakatiya Festival.

Despite heavy security that accompanied the CM's convoy, TRS activists blocked the vehicles through protests.

Windows of a bus was damaged after TRS activists and advocates hurled stones at the bus. Union ministers Chiranjeevi, P Balaram Naik and several other MPs were in the bus at which the TRS activists pelted stones.

It is said that Chiranjeevi concluded his speech within a minute, while Kiran Kumar Reddy was not allowed to speak. When the CM started talking, TRS activists present there created a ruckus. The CM, however, completed his half speech and left the dais.

When the CM convoy reached  Nakkalagutta area, the advocates hurled eggs on the convoy. Following the security lapse and lack of law and order, the police personnel had to face music! Reportedly, the Chief Minister was very disappointed with the mismanagement of the police escorts and have him an earful on the same.
