AP Starts Vaccinating 12-14 Age Group
The new CorBEvax was administered to them.
On the first day of the vaccination drive 5,000 children were covered, authorities said.
Around 14.90 lakh children in 12-14 age group are eligible for the vaccination.
For that the authorities have got 15.27 lakh doses available.
The second dose will be given 28 days after the first dose.
The vaccines are available at PHCs, vaccination centres, village & ward secretariats.
Authorities made also made arrangements to administer the vaccine in schools as well.
Director of Public Health Dr. Hymavathi said children born between March 15, 2008, & March 15, 2010, are now eligible for the vaccination.
