Taehyung achieved this with less than 40 million followers from his 3-month-old account.
He surpassed many Asian celebrities that have over 60 million followers but lower engagements.
He is also the 10th person overall in the world to surpass this record.
Joining the likes of famous celebrities like Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and Kylie Jenner.
Alffy Official, an AI that analyzes big data for trends, also recently ranked Taehyung as the #1 Korean Mega Influencer on Instagram for the 3rd week of March.
He garnered over 35 million likes in a week with just three posts. He is followed by BLACKPINK members Jennie and Jisoo.
