Hyderabad: The mystery behind the shooting on ex-minister Mukesh Goud's son Vikram Goud has been solved with the arrest of five persons who were involved in the incident at different places on Monday. Police discovered that Vikram himself arranged the shooters through a friend to stage the incident to escape the mounting pressure from his creditors.

Congress leader Mukesh Goud's son Moola Vikram Goud was admitted in Apollo hospital by his wife on Friday last stating that some miscreants shot him with an intent to kill him. The incident took place at 3.00am and he received three bullet injuries.

Despite Shifali's repeated claims that her husband was shot by some unidentified persons, media reports claimed right from the beginning that the incident was a staged one as Vikram Goud was neck-deep in debts. And the media has been proven right as the police extracted the truth from the shooters.

Unconfirmed reports say Vikram requested one of his friends to arrange some persons to enact the shooting drama so that his creditors will leave him for a while. He is believed to be in debts to the tune of Rs50 crore. He runs a pub in Madhapur and is also involved in a mining business.

The police are searching for the gun used by the shooters who threw it in Shaikpet lake area while escaping after the incident. Once all the evidences are in place, the police will file cases against Vikram and his wife Shifali along with the shooters.
