Illayathalapathy Vijay is on a roll what with his latest offering Mersal smashing it at the box office. And mind you, this is not just in India but worldwide.
The Diwali release broke all records at the box office collecting a INR 51 crore on the first day itself. The film directed by Atlee collected over 17 crores in the overseas market grossing INR 34 crore in India alone. Trade pundits estimate the film's collections to touch INR 100 crore if the same momentum continues at the box office.
The mass film has all the commercial elements and touted to be the best masala entertainer of the year. Mersal dubbed into Telugu as Adirindi, features Samantha Akkineni, Nithya Menon and Kajal Aggarwal in key roles. Looks like this diwali truly belongs to Vijay.
