Vijayawada police give counseling for race bike riders

The Vijayawada traffic police are acting tough against the young bike riders.

The race bike riding posed a threat on Hyderabad Outer Ring Road (ORR) and sons former cricket captain Azharuddin and actor Kota Srinivasa Rao were killed during the bike race. It seems the culture now shifted to Vijayawada. 

The police on Tuesday seized 19 high speed bikes during their surprise raid in the city. Treating it as a first time error, the police did counseling to 60 young bike riders and their parents. They were shown videos creating awareness about the traffic rules.

Vijayawada traffic DCP, MV Ramana warned them that the 'suspect sheet' would be opened against them, if they seen participating in bike races.
