Vijayawada Man Kills Wife, Calls It Road Accident

Vijayawada: A man was arrested here on Saturday for killing his wife and framing it as a road accident after she questioned his extra-marital affair. The incident occurred at Murali Nagar in Vijayawada on Saturday.

According to the police, the accused has been identified as Ravi Kumar, a native of Rangampet village in Sitanagaram mandal in Vizianagaram district.

Ravi was married to Sathyavathi of Piridi village in the same district in 2006. The couple also have a four-year-old son from the marriage.

Ravi Kumar, who has been working with Karvy as a manager, had been residing at Krishnaveni Residency near Muralinagar in Vijayawada. On February 5, at 6.30 am Ravi called up his sister in Hyderabad and his father in Vizianagaram over phone saying that his wife was found dead in the next lane. He claimed that his wife Sathyavathi who went to bring milk packet, was found dead on the road.
