Vijayamma: Congress least bothered about people

YSR Congress Party honorary president YS Vijayamma asserted that her party workers must ensure a win in the local body polls.

Addressing party workers at a regional level meeting in Karimnagar district on Sunday, the YSRCP honorary president said that the Congress party had forgotten about the peoples problems and in no way seems to help farmers.

"Public are in deep debt with rising prices of commodities. The burden on them has doubled with charges of power, gas, petrol hiked by state and central governments. The government is only bothered about selling the liquor," she said, lamenting the fact that people were harassing women under the influence.

She also cited a case where a mother who went to save her daughter from the hands of inebriated person was killed.

Vijayamma received a grand welcome at Karimnagar.

She also criticized Chandrabbau Naidu for his silence on the ruling party. She also talked about the Congress-TDP nexus and dubbed Naidu a backstabber in politics. She appealed to the party workers to win all the seats in the local body polls. She advised them to keep an eye on nomination and also work hard towards achieving the goal.
