Vijayamma calls introduction of T Bill bad luck, urges for voting

Hyderabad, YSR Congress Party honorary President YS Vijayamma on Thursday demanded that voting on the Telangana Bill should take place before the same is discussed in the Assembly.

According to reports, she stated that if direct discussions on the bill does take place, it is an indirect acceptance of bifurcation.

Speaker Nadendla Manohar allowed Vijayamma to speak after the house resumed at 11 a.m. She said it was our bad luck that Telangana bill is being introduced in the State Assembly.

Vijayamma reiterated in her speech that YSRCP stands for Samaikyandhra. She slammed the Congress and said that the latter was bifurcating the state to suit its interests and not the peoples. Giving the example of West Bengal, Vijayamma said that  it gave due respect to assembly resolution, and stopped bifurcation with voting.

"Congress in Centre is misusing Article 3.  It is practicing unconstitutional methods to divide the state," said Vijayamma.

She also expressed anguish over the absence of CM Kiran Kumar Reddy and leader of the opposition, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, when debates over key issues weer taking place.
