Hyderabad: If you think a Zomato delivery boy could only deliver your food and ride off, it's not the case. A Zomato delivery boy has gone viral after his soulful rendition of 'Gori Tera Gaon Bada Pyara' from the 1976 movie Chitchor caught everyone's attention.

One Zomato user Anirban Chakraborty insisted him to sing after he saw in the app that ‘he wishes to become a singer someday.’

Sharing on Facebook, Chakraborty wrote “To my all friends, Presenting Pranjit Haloi (Zomato delivery boy who delivered food today at my doorstep). I saw in the app that ‘he wishes to become a singer someday.’ I planned and requested him to sing a song."

“He is so good that I made this video. I request everyone to watch and help to fulfil his dreams,” Chakraborty further added in the video which was posted on August 12.

Till date, the video has amassed over 10K shares and has been viewed by over five lakh people on Facebook with many comments.

Hear the man's voice:

“Superb. And you did an excellent job in bringing his talent among larger audience,” wrote a Facebook user. “Wow...this is so great,” commented one user.

We wonder, what Zomato keeps in store for this talented delivery boy that it has employed.

In a similar incident that demonstrated the power of social media, Ranu Mondal, mesmerised millions with her soulful rendition of Lata Mangeshkar classic Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai. Her video, shot at the Ranaghat railway station at West Bengal, went viral. It has been viewed over 4 million times on Facebook, where it was shared by a page called 'BarpetaTown The place of peace'.
