VH booked for provocative statements

Andhra Pradesh Police on Sunday booked a case against senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao for making provocative statements.

VH has said that "Government employees from Seemandhra regions working in Telangana region will have to leave Hyderabad as per rules. If government employees want to stay in Hyderabad, they can do so by quitting their jobs."

The remarks have drawn flak from the Samaikynahdra activists. (Also Read)

The Student JAC lodged a complaint against VH at the III Town Police Station in Vizag today morning. It is learnt that the police registered a case and would begin investigation.

Meanwhile, three persons arrested by Tirupati police in connection with yesterday’s mob attack on VH were produced in court and sent to judicial custody till August 20.
