Prakasam:
The day 101 of Praja Sankalpa Yatra taken up by the Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was distinguished by two major factors all through the day--a grand reception wherever he went, and appeals and requests from people. YS Jagan's padayatra is at present traversing through the Prakasam district.

People from all walks of life are approaching YSRCP President to help them out of the present situation, where only betrayal, cheating and lies are ruling the roost. Men, women and people line the Padayatra route, waiting to meet their leader and to pour out their woes to him.

The women workers at the tobacco farms, on seeing YS Jagan passing through their farm lands, approached him and started spelling out their concerns. They said that they are not being given job cards by the government because they had voted for YSRCP in last elections. A meagre amount of Rs 100 is paid per day for plucking the tobacco leaves and if they make bundles and place it in godown they are paid Rs 300 per day. Mentioning the payment issue they said, it was not sufficient for a family. The Leader of the Opposition assured them that things will change in one year, after their party comes to power.

It was not just tobacco farm workers, but others from subabul and jam oil farms who faced similar problems and had the same story to narrate to the YSRCP president. Farmer leaders Boddu Koteswara Rao and Ch Brahmayya, along with farmers met YSRCP chief in Chimakurthi and expressed their concern over the future of farming and farmers in the state. YS Jagan promised them that when their party comes to power they will address all the concerns of the farmers and will support them.

The Leader of the Opposition will be meeting YSRCP MPS, party leaders and supporters who are going to New Delhi for participating in a major protest programme that is being planned in the country's capital. The dharna is being organised on March 5 demanding that the centre give Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh.

The meeting with the party cadre is scheduled to be held at 10 am at Korrapativaripalem Cross Roads in Prakasham district and later YS Jagan will flag off the bus in which the party leaders are travelling.
