United AP employees to get their last salaries on May 24

The order of state bifurcation that will divide Andhra Pradesh as we known it, into Telangana and Seemandhra, will have many 'lasts'.

Kiran Kumar Reddy was the last Chief Minister of united Andhra, ESL Narasimhan will be the last Governor. And, now more than 12 lakh Government employees and pensioners will be given their last salary in united AP, on May 24.

The salary will be given a week earlier, as the finance department has  the herculean task of dividing the financial account of the two new states. Reportedly the department has asked the treasury to make sure that salaries are doled out by May 24. Even pensions have been ordered to be credited by the same day.

The new state of Telangana will be formed by June 2.
