Union ministers from Seemandhra region feeling home sick?

From the time Centre announced its decision to carve out Telangana state, a few Congress leaders particularly Union ministers are hiding either in Delhi or Hyderabad.

Kavuri Samba Siva Rao, Botsa Satyanarayana and many others can't dare enter their native places. Residents of Eluru have already made statements to the effect that Kavuri will not be allowed inside his home town.

Samikayndhra JAC and scores of NGO leaders staged a dharna at the residence of Kavuri demanding his resignation in support of Samaikyandhra. (Read here)

Chiranjeevi, Purandareswari and other union ministers have confined themselves to the national capital fearing they would face criticizm. Political observers feel they will come back only after Congress spells out a clear stand on the plight of Seemandhra regions. If the leaders return they may have to field questions on their contribution to Samaikyandhra movement in Delhi.

Although Chiranjeevi needn't worry about visiting his native town as he's based out of Hyderabad, he still can't escape the wrath of Samaikyandhra people who are questioning what he did to prevent state from being divided.

It's a known fact that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has stuck to his camp office too embarrassed to show his face at the secretariat. It is learnt that he is working from home.

But how long can one remain outside home? They have to return one day or the other. The union ministers might come back taking credit for the high-level meeting saying it was their pressure that prompted the Congress High Command to initiate the meeting. However, the million dollar question is if Seemandhra leaders will buy it?
