Two Tractors Overturn, 3 Dead, 15 Injured
Three persons, including two women, died in two separate incidents involving tractors in Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Saturday morning.
In the first incident that occurred in Sairam Thanda in Julurupadu mandal. A family belonging to Himam Nagar in Enkur mandal of Khammam district, was on its way in a tractor to Bhadrachalam temple perform the tonsuring ceremoney of a child. But, as the tractor reached Sairam Thanda, the driver lost control and the tractor overturned. While Shanthi died on the spot, another woman Lala died while being rushed to the nearby hospital. As many as 15 persons suffered injures in the incident.
In another incident near Musalimadugu in Burgumpahad mandal of the district, a Jam Oil laden tractor overturned as the driver lost control while negotiating a road bend. Naveen, who was sitting on the Jam Oil load was crushed to death in the incident. Sources said the mishap occurred as the truck was loaded way to beyond the permissible limits. The victim was identified as Naveen.
