Telangana Ready to Extend All Help in Water Benefit to AP: KCR

The two Telugu states must work together on water issues, said Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday. Speaking to the media at Bhadrachalam on the occasion of Rama Navami, KCR said that he agreed with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on the need of the two states to cooperate on matters related to sharing of river waters.

KCR said, “We are ready to extend all possible help to Andhra Pradesh. Unnecessary skirmishes between the two states will hurt both of us. Once the Seetarama Project is completed on the Godavari, Khammam district will not have to face a drought situation again.”

KCR, who attended Seetarama kalyanam and offered ‘Pattu Vasthralu’, said that TRS government would release Rs 100 crore for the temple’s development.

“Among the plans are to create better pilgrim amenities in Bhadrachalam, Parnasala and Jathayu mandapam. I will come and stay here for a couple of days along with Chinna Jeeyar Swami and make plans for the development, “KCR said.

KCR was accompanied by his wife Shobha Rao, grandson Himanshu, Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya, deputy chief minister Kadiyam Srihari and ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao and A Indrakaran Reddy .
