TTD Releases 61,858 Arjitha Seva Tickets For May

Tirumala: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) released 61,858 Arjitha Seva tickets for the month of May, TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal said.

Addressing the media, here on Friday, he said the TTD is making all possible efforts to successfully conduct Brahmotsavams in Srinivasa Mangapuram and Kapileswara temples in February. "Efforts are also underway to provide hindrance-free darshan to the physically challenged on February 13 and for senior citizens on February 20," he said.

The EO said that the TTD currently has 45 tonnes of foreign currency, which it is in the process of converting to Indian currency. About 18 tonnes of that currency is from Malaysia which a bank has offered to convert to Indian currency, he said. In January 2018, 20.96 lakh devotees visited the holy shrine while 87.49 lakh laddu prasadam were sold by the TTD.
