TTD records Rs89-crore revenue in June

Tirumala: A record number of devotees had darshan of Lord Balaji in June. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer Sambasiva Rao said that 24.7 lakh devotees visited Tirumala temple and hundi revenue was Rs89 crore during the month. TTD distributed 94 lakh laddus to devotees.

About 1.90 lakh arjita seva tickets have been booked online. TTD has made arrangements for special darshan online facilitating devotees to book tickets 90 days in advance. In addition to existing dollars of gold and silver, TTD is planning to launch copper dollars as well. TTD is in the process of setting up two more hospitals and has decided to take up plantation of red sandalwood trees in 600 hectares.
