TTD offers 2.93 acres of land to railways

Tirumala: In a move that will benefit pilgrims thronging the shrine from across the country, Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD) trust board has decided to offer 2.93 acres of land to South Central Railway (SCR) to facilitate expansion of Tirupati railway station.

As per reports, SCR will complete the expansion work within a year. The trust board which met on Tuesday said that TTD will collect a nominal cost from the railways.

Apart from this, it also took other decisions and approved for the procurement of commodities for prasadam and annadanam schemes. For the year 2017 TTD will publish 18 lakh calendar.
