TSPSC To Issue Notification For 9,342 Posts Soon

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) is all set to release the notification to fill 9,342 vacancies in various departments including Gurukul schools. The vacancies have already been identified and the notification is awaiting clearance, the TSPSC chairman Ghanta Chakrapani said on Thursday.

After submitting its annual report to Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan, Chakrapani said the Commission had recruited 4,295 candidates for various posts from July 2015 till date while results are awaited for 1,645 posts. The results of Group-1 exam conducted in 2011 will be released soon, he said.

The TSPSC gave a detailed account of recruitment activities over the last one year.

The report said that 12 examinations were conducted for 3,425 vacancies wherein 1,86,682 candidates appeared between April 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016. Of these 1,933 were interviewed and 1,174 were selected. Several departmental tests were also conducted.

A total of 931 vacancies of assistant executive engineer (civil) posts, 120 agriculture officers, 115 assistants in finance and accounts in HMWSSB posts, 123 Town planning building operators, 146 managers (Engineering) in HMWSSB and 1,311 agriculture extension officers have been filled, the report said.

The Governor expressed his satisfaction over the progress made by TSPSC over the last two years and appreciated the reforms introduced by the panel in recruitment process and interview system.
