Truth is bitter for the CM

Chief Minister, Kiran Kumar Reddy reacted angrily against Sakshi Newspaper’s report of the speech he made in the Assembly on Tuesday. He accused it of having twisted and distorted his speech. In his speech, he emphasized that the ministers against whom the CBI filed cases had not violated any rules when they signed the GOs.

The decisions taken by them were according to procedures and legally correct. These words were published verbatum by Sakshi. However, the CM accused Sakshi of twisting and distorting his words. Sakshi posed a straight question to the CM as to why he had not stated this fact earlier. The High Court  took up the petition filed by ex-minister Sankara Rao in October 2010 and gave notices to 52 defendants. The govt was the first defendant and the next five were from the departments in the govt. Sakshi asked only a straight question. If the decisions taken by the ministers were correct and according to rules, why did he not say so at that time ?  If the GOs issued were according to rules, and the benefits which accrue to the companies are legal, then how can one say it is a Quid Pro Quo situation?

People have come to know through Sakshi's newspaper,  that it was a conspiracy against Jagan to harass him politically.  It is quite evident that the govt kept silent at that time, so that Jagan can be targeted and put behind bars. But now that its own ministers are involved, the govt changed its tune and declared that all the GO were in order and according to rules.

Sakshi newspaper posed some questions to the CM :

Why was the court not informed at that time that the decisions taken by the Ministers are all correct ? Was it because if he were to say that, the case built up against Jagan would have collapsed ?

If the GOs are all according to rules, where is the case for Quid Pro Quo ?

Did all those who derived benefits during the term of YSR invest in Jagan’s companies ?

There are many investors who continue to receive profits from their investments even now.  Does one call it a Quid Pro Quo deal?

If the Ministers who were in the Govt had taken the decisions to pass the GOs are innocent, then Jagan who was neither in the govt nor residing in Hyderabad at that time be called guilty ?

The CM says the case is about the investments in the companies of Jagan - whether they are legal or illegal. If so, should it take almost a year to decide the question, without giving Jagan bail  for one whole year ?

CM declared that since Jagan left Congress he is an opponent just like TDP. What is the           inference in it ?  Would things have been different  if Jagan had not left  Congress ?
