AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday slammed TRS in his rally in Mahbubnagar.

Addressing the gathering, Rahul said, “TRS told us that they would merge their party into Congress. Its chief K.Chandrasekhar Rao promised to make a Dalit, the first CM of Telangana. Both these promises are forgotten. Similarly, the same party will forget all the promises given to you. TRS only wants power, nothing else. Congress party has experience in better administration which TRS lacks."

He added, “We will implement tax holiday in Telangana for a period of ten years.”

He asked the people to give power for Congress party in Telangana in these elections.

He promised that Telangana would be developed in all fields if they got power. He also promised a 4000 MW power plant in Telangana.

“The 60 year old dream of the people of Telangana will be a reality on June 2. Farmers, women, students, teachers and advocates joined hands to fight for Telangana. Some hundreds of people laid down their lives for the new state. Congress made your dream a reality finally,” said Rahul.

He said that some parties obstructed bifurcation of the state and TRS had no role in the Telangana bill.
He clarified that Congress party had no intention of creating a rift between any two sections of people.
