TRS to launch series of protests for early decision on 'T'

Unhappy with the Centre for delaying the Telangana statehood further even after the all-party meeting held on Friday in Delhi, TRS supremo K. Chandrasekhara Rao announced the future course of agitation to secure Telangana state.

As a starter the party had called for a Telangana bandh on Saturday. The bandh was total in the Telanaga districs except for Hyderabad where it was partial.

Addressing a press conference after the party's politburo meeting, KCR announced that TRS would oraginse a two-wheeler rally where one lakh supporters would take part on Jan 4, candle light march will be held on Jan 9, mass deekshas would be undertaken on 17, on Jan 23  people would march to district centers and stage dharnas at collectorates and after January KCR would undertake a yatra in 500 mandal centers in two phases.

Launching a scathing attack on TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, KCR said that Naidu has once again deceived the people of Telangana. There was no word on Telangana in his two-page letter which was submitted to Union Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde at the all-party meeting.

He also flayed the Congress Party for not declaring its stand on Telangana at the meeting.
