Hyderabad: TRS MLC Sabavat Ramulu Naik gifted a silver bangle and sherwani to the MLAs of Telangana while inviting them for his younger son's wedding. It is learnt that Ramulu is planning for an uber-lavish wedding for his son Narender Sabavat. As per reports, the wedding is likely to be held at Nizam College grounds on April 16. He first met Telangana chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao first and gave the invitation card .
The minister's move has raised eyebrows to many but he has defended stating that he is abiding by the customs in community. He said that he comes from a Banjara community and women in their community wear silver etc. and it is part of their ritual to offer gift their guests while sending wedding invites.
"It is a custom in our community. Not many people today are following the custom, but it is a tradition in our community .My father is sticking to that tradition," said Narender.
