TRS Leader Sets Self Ablaze, Condition Critical
In a shocking incident, TRS Tandur unit former president Ayub Khan immolated himself protesting against not being given a nominated post in the TRS Government. The incident occurred on Wednesday and Ayub Khan is now battling for life.
On Wednesday, the TRS held a meeting of the party workers at Vikarabad. Minister Mahender Reddy too was present at the meeting. Several TRS leaders raisd organisational issues and said they were being ignored by the party after it came to power. Former town president Ibrahim Khan made stinging comments about old timers being ignored. He said he had pleaded his case with several leaders, including MP Kavitha, but to no avail.
As he finished his speech, he doused himself in kerosene and sent himself on fire. The shocked party workers put out the fire and shifted him to a hospital. His condition is stated to be critical. He is now battling for life.
