TRS Leader Held For Raping Brick Kiln Worker
Hyderabad: A 32-year-old TRS leader was arrested on Monday for sexually assaulting a woman at Adraspally village on Friday.
The accused Gyara Ganesh, owns a field adjacent to a brick kiln. As there is a bore well on the field, kiln workers used to go often to the field to draw water. On Friday night, the victim who was sleeping outside of the hut went to the field to get some water. Ganesh who was in his field saw the woman and assaulted her sexually. When she shouted for help, he hit her causing serious injuries and fled.
On hearing screams, her husband and other workers rushed to the spot and shifted her to hospital. They also alerted the police, who then registered a case based on victim's complaint.
Police arrested him on Monday and sent him to remand.
