Various Telangana associations have condemned the behavior of TV9 news channel for making some critical comments on Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao and Telangana MLAs.

Brahmin unit of TRS party staged a protest on Sunday demanding the removal of office of TV9 channel in the city.

Members of Telangana Advocate Joint Action Committee also joined the protest and demanded TV9 to render an unconditional apology to chief minister and Telangana MLAs.

They warned that they would stage another protest if the office of the channel has not removed its office in the city.

Police arrested the leaders of all these associations.

Further, Andhra Pradesh Working Journalists Federation and Telangana Working Journalists Federation also condemned the behavior of TV9.

“It is very pathetic that the channel did objectionable comments against the MLAs at a time when there are too many criticisms on the deterioration in standards standards in some media organizations,” said G.Anjaneyulu, General Secretary of APWJF.

“The TV9 may have apologized to the MLAs. But, the way the channel behaved will certainly damage the image of the media,” said Anjaneyulu.
