Tribals roar in opposition to Bauxite mining

YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy allowed the tribals to speak out and voice their opposition to the bauxite mining in the Agency areas. When he asked the people to raise both their hands in opposition, there was a massive response. He made the tribals vent their feelings. Here is what the tribals said:

Mandalam Chinnabbai, Kondrupalli: All my ancestors lived and died here. I have spent all my life here. But, my lands, my forests and hills are being appropriated by Chandrababu Naidu government. We shall never agree to part with our land. We shall never allow our land to be forefeited. 
* Adapa Vijayakumari, Sarpanch, Jadala: Bauxite mining will rob us off our livelihood. The gathering shows how strong the public opinion is against the mining. But, no such gram sabha was held and no resolution was passed. Nothing is recorded in the minutes book. 
* Ratnabai: Chandrababu doesn't allow us to use an inch of land for agriculture, but is gifting away thousands of acres to the big corporates. He is robbing us of our forests. 
* Suribabu, Budarala: YS Jagan has come to help us oppose the mining. When YSR was the chief minister, he gave us lands for agriculture. YSR stopped the files pertaining to the Bauxite mining  and helped the tribals in many ways. 
* Sarveshwara Rao, MLA: As many as 240 tribal villages would be affected. The water from these hills feed the rivers in the plain. There are 21 rivers in this area. If they are polluted, both the tribals and plains people would also be affected.
