Girl Quits Job To Go Globetrotting

"The only way to do great work is to love what you do", is a great quote from Steve Jobs and it's just right! Many of us are struggling with jobs we don't like . We are forced to confine ourselves to the 9 to 5 trap routine. One more very famous and perfect quote is, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life". Some people actually follow this statement and decide to take a step to move out of the four walls of the cabin and do something they are genuinely love doing. We all make ourselves so busy in our daily routine that sometimes we may even ignore small joys which can give our lives a little kick.
Here is one such amazing story.

Stuck In Wanderlust

A young girl from Bombay, Preethi, had a similar realisation when she was returning home one day after doing a 9 to 5 job, which had become a routine for her. She was one of us with hopes and dreams. “I was an ambitious girl, with certain goals I wanted to achieve–a well-paying job, independence & savings for my future,” she told Humans Of Bombay.
But one day, after working hard for almost four years in a corporate job, she realised that she was meant to do things other than just sitting in a cubbyhole. “After my MBA, I started working at a bank & was there for 3.5 years. But once, on my way home from work–I noticed that every day I was stuck in traffic at the same place. That’s when I realized that I was stuck too–not moving forward, or doing anything new.”
After coming to the conclusion that she actually needed a break from her routine, she decided to go on a solo trip to Puducherry. There she realised what she really wanted to do with her life.

“In that moment, I resolved to not waste even a single minute doing what didn’t like doing. So, I decided to take a solo trip to Puducherry. My parents were apprehensive, but they saw how desperate I was & let me go”, she said.

"After my first solo trip, things just began to fall in place", she added. From there she began to make more plans for trips. She even told her parents that she was quitting her and job and will be using her savings to travel. She even created an online blog for travel and won contest through which she was taken across India. She was basically bitten by wanderlust.

“My first stop was Hungary,  after that, I travelled to Innsbruck, Salzburg, Vienna & Prague. And as cliche as it sounds, when I came back, I was a transformed person,” Preeti said.

This is one magical and beautiful story, don't you think? It actually takes a lot of courage to come out of our daily routine and take such steps. But when she can do it, why can't you?
