10 Best Places To Hangout In Hyderabad

Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana state, that lies in South India. Telangana is the youngest state in India and its capital Hyderabad has all the reasons why it is a go-to place for any tourists. From the picturesque Himayath Sagar, to the magnificent Charminar and the elegance of Chowmahalla Palace, there are multiple locations in Hyderabad that you must come and see for yourself.

Charminar

The world-famous monument Charminar is the architectural icon of Hyderabad. Situated in the heart of the city, the 400-year-old structure, built by Sultan Muhammed Quli Qutb Shah, the 5th Sultan of the illustrious Qutb Shahi dynasty, is the most searched historical site on Google.

For any tourist visiting the city, Charminar is the place one can start their visit from. The monument with its four minarets stands amidst the colourful bangle shops in Laad Bazaar of Old City. The monument also provides for beautiful photoshoots of different kinds, be a pre-wedding photoshoot or photoshoot for children. In the evening time, the place gets lit up, and that is a retreat to the eyes.

The entry timing to the place is 9 am and it is open till 5 pm. The entry fee is Rs 5 for Indians and Rs 100 for foreigners.

Near to Charminar, you mat also visit Salarjung Museum, Chowmahalla Palace, and can also book a table at the magnificent Falaknuma Palace.

Ramoji Film City

Ramoji Film City, famous tourist place in Hyderabad that is sure to leave you spellbound. For cinema lovers, the place is for sure going to keep you enchanted. Not just that, RFC is also known as one of the haunted destinations in India.

It is the world's largest integrated film city which is spread across 2,000 acres. The tour bus takes you to a typical film studio, multi-cuisine restaurants, kids park to the bird park, the place is the most joyous to be in for one day.

Ideally, if you start for the place by 9 am, then to have a full tour of the place, will get over by 5 pm. There are carnival weeks as well which has shows and a parade during that time and makes it a must-watch. It is on the outskirts of the city and a place for a picnic, photoshoot be that children photoshoot or even pre-wedding photoshoots. Hussain Sagar Lake

Hussain Sagar Lake is one of the largest man-made lakes in India. As a tourist destination, Hussain Sagar cannot be missed with your family. In the evening too, you can sit near the lake and enjoy a serene evening. If you have a drone view of Hussain Sagar Lake from the nearby situated Birla Temple, you will see a necklace-type view and hence the road gets its name the necklace road.

To add to the beautiful lake view, there is a monolithic statue of Buddha installed. The boat ride which takes Rs 10 will take you to the middle of the lake and there you can have the view of the Buddha which has different lights on it.

You can take up boating, water sports in the lake, and the Lumbini Park is an add-on attraction. The laser show at Lumbini Park is also a must-watch.

Hussain Sagar is beautiful during the monsoons. Take a walk along with your partners on the lanes beside the lake and it is just good feels.

Birla Mandir

Located close to Hussain Sagar lake is Birla Mandir. You may take an auto for the place. Birla Mandir's inner shrine has an 11ft tall replica of Tirupati Venkateswara. The temple is built atop the Kala Pahad, the twin hillock of the Naubat Pahad and has beautiful architectural designs.

Once you get into the temple, photography is strictly prohibited and once you enter the temple everything is confiscated, not even mobile phones are allowed. You need to keep your shoes at the counter and go inside.

Once inside you can offer your prayers to the various deities inside and then come and sit outside which offers a peaceful environment. You can also have an overview of the beautiful Hussain Sagar Lake in the evening from atop the hill.

There is no entry fee and morning time is from 7 am – 12 pm, while evening time is from 2 pm – 9 pm.

Golconda Fort

One of the historical places in Hyderabad, Golconda Fort is a medieval fort that overlooks Hyderabad. About 11 km from Hyderabad, the fort was originally built in mud on a 400 ft hill.

The royalty of the fort makes it a must go to a tourist destination and makes it an ideal place for photoshoots. The fort is famous for its palaces, ingenious water supply system and the famous Fateh Rahben, one of the cannons used in the last siege of Golconda by Aurangzeb.

The entry morning time is 9 am, while it closes at 5.30 am. The sound and the light show also is a must-watch.

Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park

Mahavir Harina Vanasthali National Park is a deer national park located in Vanasthalipuram, on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Spread over 13,000 acres, the place is the largest green lung space in the city.

Once you enter the deer park, it feels like a jungle safari. Be it with friends or family, this place makes for a great weekend trip.

The van takes you for a 15 minutes ride across the park where you spot deers, peacocks, endangered blackbucks. This place is a must-go-to place with your children along, who thoroughly enjoy watching the animals and birds.

Nehru Zoological Park

Head to Zoo park, if you want to have a perfect time with your family and children. The 50-year-old zoo park combines ecological programmes, animal habitats, research facilities, among others. The place takes a whole day to have a fulfilling view and you can enjoy activities like toy train, kids park, boating, etc. The place has nearly 1,500 specimens of birds, animals, and reptiles.

Zoo park also has hired bicycles which you can use and tour in the park. The park is closed on Mondays and it is open from morning 8 to 5.30 pm.

Wonderla, is one of the largest chain of amusement parks in India. It has its branch in Hyderabad too and offers a variety of rides for all ages to enjoy.

Some of their rides are Recoil, Maverick, Y-Scream, and their latest addition Mission interstellar. The park along with the rides has water park too and it is so much fun to be there. To enjoy Wonderla, you need a full day and it is advisable to carry pool clothes as they will not allow you to enter the water park without proper clothes.
