Transgender To Play As Heroine For This Veteran Actor
Giving an inspiration to many, popular Malayalam actor Mammootty will be working with a transgender in his forthcoming flick 'Peranbu'. And what's more heartening is the transgender will play as his heroine. Anjali Ameer (21) is the first transgender to foray into a mainstream Malayalam flick.
When asked about her experience working with a star, she said, "I was literally afraid when I first saw him. But, it was very comfortable working with him since he helped me through all possible ways.”
Anjali has done photo-shoots as a model and divulges that she underwent sex change surgery at 19-year-old in Bengaluru, when she went to pursue her graduation. Prior to sex reassignment surgery, she says that she found her body as not hers.
The movie is being directed by national-award filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy and produced by PLThenappan.
