Actor Ram Pothineni Fined For Smoking At Charminar

Hyderabad: 'Smoking and drinking are injurious to health' - we see this message at the beginning of every film. It is an offence and one is liable to a penalty for smoking in public places. Yet the smokers still do it with impunity. Actor Ram too proved that he is no exception to this uncivilised behaviour.

Ram Pothineni was fined Rs 200 for smoking near Charminar. His upcoming movie Ismart Shankar was being shot at the iconic structure on Monday. Taking a break from the shoot, Ram dragged on a cigarette as the local SI Pandary caught him redhanded and imposed a fine.

The actor is currently working on iSmart Shankar, a gangster crime film directed by Puri Jagannadh
