Hyderabad: Nandamuri Balakrishna's NTR Mahanayakudu which released today is receiving mixed responses from the audience. Die-hard fans of NTR and Balakrishna have showered praises on the film especially about Vidya Balan's performance and Balakrishna's role. Another section of the audience calls it a propaganda film and confusing biopic, which does not portray NTR’s political journey accurately. It is also said that N Chandrababu Naidu has been shown in a positive light, even in the scenes where the coup takes place, probably to appease a section of the audience considering that the Andhra Pradesh elections are also round the corner.

Telugu/Kannada film actor Tarun Shetty shared a post yesterday which gave us a sneak peak into NTR’s look during his younger days in the film. Sharing his look on FaceBook Tarun Shetty said-

"Such an honour to land a role in the NTR biopic! Especially that I’ll be playing the legendary Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao gaaru in his younger days! A special thanks to Director Krish gaaru, Producers Balakrishna gaaru and Sai Korrapati gaaru for giving me this important and amazing role| Releasing 22nd February 2019!! Tarun Shetty made his debut in a Telugu flick “Meeku Meere Maaku Meme” which was presented by GA2 pictures banner (Geeta Arts) and directed by short film director Hussain Sha Kiran in 2016. He will now be seen essaying the role of NTR in his younger days.

We need to wait and watch how Mahanayakudu 's fate at the box Office will be over the weekend. Balakrishna essays the role of his father NTR's older version, Rana Daggubati plays N Chandrababu Naidu and Vidya Balan plays NTR's wife Basavatarakam and N Kalyan Ram plays the role of his father late Nandamuri Harikrishna in NTR's Mahanayakudu.
