Tirupati temple to be closed on March 8 due to solar eclipse

Tirumala: The Tirumala temple will remain closed on the intervening night of March 8 and 9 on account of the solar eclipse. The temple would be closed from 8.30 PM on March and would open only at 10 AM on March 9.

According to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Executive Officer (EO) D. Sambashiva Rao, the Teppostavam (Float Festival) of the Lord would be held from March 19 to 23. He said the TTD would provide online booking facility would be provided for all those couples who get married in the Tirumala Kalyana Vedika (wedding hall).

50,000 Arjitha Seva Tickets are released for the month of April and the last date for bidding for the construction of Veyyi Kalla Mantapam (Thousand pillared porch) has been extended to April 11.
